Privacy Policy
CloudLase GO · Last updated 13 June 2026
CloudLase GO is a laser control app made by BX Precision Engineering. It is built to run laser hardware on your local network, and it is designed to collect as little about you as possible. This policy explains exactly what the app does and does not do with data.
The short version
- The live laser signal goes straight from your device to your DAC over the local network. It never passes through us.
- Microphone and line-in audio used for audio-reactive looks is analysed on your device in real time. It is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
- We do not sell your data and we do not run third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
What we process, and why
Early-adopter verification
If you are a CloudLase early adopter, you claim CloudLase GO on our Early Access page by entering your existing licence key. Our verification service checks the key, confirms it includes GO, and issues you a one-time App Store code. We store a one-way hash of the key and the time it was used, so each licence claims one code. We do not receive your name or payment details; those were handled at purchase on the CloudLase website. The app itself does not send your licence key: once you redeem the code, your access is held by Apple as an App Store entitlement.
Microphone and audio
If you enable audio-reactive looks, the app accesses the microphone or a connected line-in interface. Audio is converted to frequency bands on your device, used to drive the visuals, and discarded. No audio is recorded or sent anywhere. You can revoke microphone access at any time in iOS Settings.
Local network
The app uses the local network permission to discover and talk to laser DACs (EtherDream, LaserCube WiFi, IDN) on your Wi-Fi. This communication stays on your network and does not reach us.
Anonymous usage and diagnostics
The app may send anonymous, aggregate usage and stability information (for example, app version, device model, and which DAC types are in use) so we can fix bugs and prioritise features. This data is not linked to your identity and cannot be used to identify you. Where iOS requires it, you are asked for consent, and you can opt out in the app's settings.
What we never collect
- Your audio, recordings, or the content of your shows.
- Location data.
- Contacts, photos, or files outside what you explicitly import.
- Advertising identifiers.
Data retention
Verification records (the hashed key and the time it was used) are kept for as long as your licence is active so we can support you and prevent a code being claimed twice. Anonymous usage data is retained in aggregate only. You can ask us to delete your verification records by emailing [email protected].
Third parties
We use Cloudflare to serve this website and run the verification service, and Apple to distribute the app and process purchases and redemptions. Each handles data under its own privacy terms. We do not share your data with anyone else.
Children
CloudLase GO is professional equipment-control software and is not directed at children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, note it in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
